One very common word you can find on the prints, in bold which usually that caught our attention, especially women - "SALE"!

With these irresistible discounts and offers, have you ever thought of pampering yourself or your loved ones without hurting your wallet too much? How to avoid impulse buying? When to stop spending? Is the item worth the price tag?

Here are some of the shopping tips for a successful round at the sales.

<1> Purchases made at a sale are usually final. Check their return/exchange/refund policy before you hand over cash or credit card.
<2> Check quality labels. You shouldn't be paying $400 for cotton.
<3> If the shoe doesn't fit, it doesn't fit.
<4> Reserve pricer items where possible, then sleep over it to see if you still want it the next day. This will help curb impulse buys.
<5> Only buy what you feel comfortable in.
<6> Don't let the clothes wear you, wear them instead. If it looks weird, it probably is.

What's more, being a shopaddict, you must learn some clever know-how to save a pretty penny.

<1> Know your size: collar size, waist size, t-shirt size, shoe size
(so you don't need to queue for the changing room.)
<2> Have a shopping list. You'll be so much more focused and efficient.
<3> The item should match at least two other pieces in your wardrobe, if not give it a pass.
<4> If you don't know what looks good on you, bring a stylist friend along.
<5> Remember: oversized shirts only look good on girls!
<6> Bring a belt. You never know when you might need it while trying on clothes.

I welcome you with wide open arms and situated at the newly open Tampines 1, I think it has been a long time since I feel so happy about my weekly long journey to Tampines.

Take a look at the snapshots I took yesterday. 2 long queues of eager people waiting for their turn to explore the new store. No, I did not join in the craze. While I choose to go back another time, here's some quick facts about this chic brand:

1. Uniqlo stands for Unique Clothing

2. About 90% of its products are made in China, with 20-30 specialists ensuring only top notch quality clothings are brought to the shelves.

3. Uniqlo T-shirts aka UT carries a limited edition collection of T-shirts whose designs are not repeated once they sell out.

Harem Pants. YEah! or oh-my-god-darn-No! ?

"That's what i wear to sleep now!" eman exclaimed. Oh and then I recalled that this infamous trend of nappy-like skirt/pants/shorts (whatever you wanna categorized it as) aka HAREM PANTS was here 2 years ago already. While these harem pants (return again) have crotch droopiness till varying degrees, I think we should really give our bows to Mango who came out with the "denim diaper" (center pic). I have no idea how having a flappy (and probably big enough to hide your whole bag of stuffs) at the crotch - thigh area will help to enhance our look. I cant imagine putting my legs into the denim harem pants where the two seems-to-be-wide-apart leg holes are. Can you imagine the awkwardness in between? Am I suppose to feel like wearing a skirt or shorts?

I hope it is not going to be an addiction.

I have been wondering, what's the perfect hairdo for this S/S that can easily match with any outfits in my closet? Am sure some of you are getting sick of your hairstyle and need inspiration for a new look!

Not to mention with our hot weather here, I think no better idea than pulling my hair into a ponytail. But somehow that doesn't really match all my styles. What should I do??

To my relief, my friends and I spotted the hottest hair style of the season! Plaits and buns are one of the favourite hairstyles choice used by hollywood celebrities.
Take Nicole Richie's loosely styled plaits for example, not only do they look super cute with her LA tan and barely there make up, they also fit with her off duty, boho style. The thing we love the most about Nicole’s hair is the fact that is always looks like she hasn’t tried very hard and just woke up looking like that.

Plus it’s one of the easiest hairstyles to pull off in a hurry, all you need to do is an elastic band, hair dye and some kirby grips. It is a painless and cheap way of updating your hairdo into 2009!

What is an addiction?

Do you sometimes feel this way? We are not talking about drugs here. Is the desirable S word which most women are unable to resist, SHOPPING. Let's diagnose my condition.

I feel myself in a state of misery when Im short of cash to shop. I feel my eyes in an uncontrol condition of scanning through the display window to see what are on the rack, even in a rush. My time of the month is the date my favourite magazines and tabloids will be out at the newspaper stand. There are days I pack my food and wait infront of the computer for the new collection of clothes to launch. I feel the excitement of opening the letterbox to see my trophy of clothes have arrived. I feel dismay when I couldnt find anything I like in the new collection. I can't help feeling that there is always not enough to wear in my wardrobe.

While some might think these are silly thoughts, I consider myself a shopping addict.
